Tasting Reports
We use a standardized descriptive analysis scoresheet to identify and quantify colors, aromas, and flavors of the wines we taste.  This allows us to perform statistical analysis and provide a report summarizing the panel's description of aroma and flavor characteristics of the wines (see this example.)
Our Tasting Groups
Members of our tasting groups are professional winemakers & enologists.  Knowing and tasting available types and styles of wines is critical to their own understanding of their wines, their personal descriptive abilities,  and how the wines relate to the marketplace. 
 

Sue Langstaff of Applied Sensory

We work with Sue Langstaff of Applied Sensory to provide sensory support and analysis for our professional winemaking tasting panels.  Sue is a recognized expert in sensory analysis of wine, beer, and olive oil.  She has developed the Defects Wheel for Wine and is currently working on other useful sensory tools.
