We are working on a paper elaborating the potential errors and effects of volatile acidity analysis using the common modified Cash still, as a result of work done in conjunction with Drs. Sue Ebeler and Dave Block at UC Davis.
Analysis of Collaborative Testing Services Data
Also working with Dr Ebeler and others on an analysis of 10 years of CTS data to look at trends and issues in the industry and perhaps give input on ways to improve the accuracy and precision of our analytical performance.
ISO 17025 for Winery Laboratories
Is this standard achievable for the average winery lab, and is the return on the investment attractive enough to motivate wineries to even consider it? I'll be looking into the benefits and costs and talking to many wineries as part of an investigative article on this topic.
